I’ll be the very first in my household to earn a college degree, and that’s something I hold extremely close to my heart.
My family members and I relocated to the United States in 2014 We chose Memphis as our 2nd home to begin fresh and build a far better future.
When I finished high school in 2020, I determined to join the Army Reserve so I might function permanent to aid support my family members financially. Along the road, my moms and dads always reminded me of the importance of an university level. Truthfully, I struggled with the decision between selecting work over institution.
That changed when I uncovered the College of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could gain my level 100 % online from a certified, country wide acknowledged Carnegie R 1 university. The adaptability of the program made it feasible to stabilize job, life, and education. As soon as I registered, I knew I made the best selection.
As an online trainee, I stayed involved with campus life with profession fairs and signing up with trainee companies like the Society of Personnel Administration. I wished to get one of the most out of my college experience and connect with people who shared my interest for HR.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of loss semester. Thanks to the assistance and framework of UofM Worldwide, I was able to end up strong, also making the Dean’s List. I’m taking four classes while serving on active service, and I’m honored to say I’ll be finishing in May.
